Yesterday, a very rainy day, held a brief afternoon opening of sunshine for a bike ride through the Animas Valley. Pedaling through the valley, I saw the river spilling beyond her banks into adjacent fields. Eventually I climbed my way out and up a national forest road, and this is where I had the idea to create a space for myself and others to place our thoughts, ideas, and adventures. I don’t think instagram or Facebook respectfully hold our writings of the sights, sounds, and smells that we come across whilst living. And thus was the creation of bird nest blog – a place for wandering folk to place their wandering thoughts. I have many mediocre ideas that often don’t take form, but this one will, mark my words. Why? Because I impulsively paid for this and now I am beholden to my choice. Come along, and contribute as you’d like.
